A Clay Experience
by MU Ceramics

Technique: Handbuilding     Materials Explored: Stoneware Clay and Glazes

Price: 50 euros    Length: 2:30 hours   Tuesdays & Fridays & SUNDAYS

Join me at The Toca for a meditative and expressive approach to pottery, focused on creative play and enjoyment. Set an intention, connect with the clay, and embrace the art of letting go. Pottery teaches balance and strength with gentleness, flexibility with structure. Beauty emerges through pressure and patience. This experience invites you to deepen self-awareness, appreciate the moment, and find joy in the process.

You'll create a piece, or several, by experimenting with various hand-building techniques. Your creations will later be fired and glazed by the team at The Toca.

Come play with me!

Dany

Hello! I'm Dany. My journey with clay started on February 2017. A journey

of reconnection. Allowing myself to play with the clay has enabled me to rekindle my creativity and my sense of self.

I was very creative as a child and adolescent, and, as life kicked in and took me on its roller coaster, creativity dissipated and slipped away. Creativity invites our curiosity and asks to be fueled by our attention and willingness to allow ourselves to play. Play is essential in our lives. We take life too seriously, and many times for granted, by always wanting to be in the next moment. Playing with the clay simply requires our presence and attention without judgement, so that it may unfurl into creation. We are all creative, and the clay is a tool that enables us to explore ourselves and get out of our heads and the babble of our minds.

Our body loves to express itself and pottery connects us with our innate essence.

I believe in the healing quality of playing with the clay, the earth that
holds and nurtures us.

I hope you may find joy in it too.
